For master's/post-master's scholarships, you need completed 6+ semesters or a bachelor's degree. Bachelor-level requires active enrollment (Intra-V4 only).

Scholarships are available only to citizens of V4 countries, the Western Balkans and the Eastern Partnership countries. Key restrictions include: cannot apply in citizenship country, cannot return to previous university, must maintain 150km distance from last/current university and permanent residence.
Application
All applicants (approved, rejected or those on the reserve list) are notified in writing via e-mail and the results are also published on the Fund's website 45 working days after the submission deadline at the latest.
You do not need to send any documents or hard copies by post. All documents must be uploaded to the online system by the deadline.
All applicants must upload a scan of valid national ID or passport. Bachelor's applicants (V4 citizens) need transcripts from two completed semesters (or one if first-year) and a university acceptance letter. Master's applicants require the same transcripts and acceptance letter. Post-master applicants need an acceptance letter and approved working plan from the host institution.
No. There is no possibility to submit the application past the deadline. The deadline is strict and the Fund will accept no application past it.
Submit via the online system at my.visegradfund.org by the given deadline. The system opens approximately 45 days prior to the deadline. PDF format recommended for documents.
Starting your scholarship
Yes. Recipients must promote their achievement and acknowledge support in scholarly documentation and public events. You should also use the logo to visually acknowledge the Visegrad Scholarship Program's contribution to your study/research.
Further installments require emailed scanned documents. Bachelor's/Master's scholars need transcripts with 30+ ECTS credits and host institute enrollment confirmation. Post-master's scholars must submit progress reports signed by supervisors and completion date documentation.
No, but the Fund issues a scholarship confirmation which can be used as an enclosure to the visa application.
The scholarship amounts to 3,500 EUR per semester and is paid to each scholar's bank account. This money is at the scholar's full disposal and the Fund cannot cover any additional costs.
Not directly. Host institutions receive 2,000 EUR per semester per scholar. For master's studies, this covers tuition or administrative costs; excess fees are the scholar's responsibility. For post-master's, the lump sum covers institutional hosting expenses.
The scholarship is paid in advance for each semester (5-month period) only after the host university sends to the Fund a written (scan) confirmation of your arrival on letterhead with specific details including signature and stamp.
The contract is mailed to your permanent/correspondence address after submitting final acceptance and confirming details. Two copies are provided; one must be signed and returned via post.
As the results of the scholarships are usually published at the end of May, the scholarship can only start afterwards, from September/October (the fall semester of the upcoming academic year) at the earliest.
Check passport validity and begin visa applications if needed. Confirm personal data in the system, contact assigned project manager, and inform host institution of arrival date.
