Explore hidden treasures of tourist and travel pearls
Tourism in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary is coming to life by harnessing the power of digital innovation and partnerships. Bringing together entrepreneurs, tourism professionals, artisans and culinary masters has created a dynamic network showcasing the rich cultural heritage and diverse program of the V4 region.
At the heart of this initiative were two interactive maps. The first highlighted 123 tourism-related businesses, from historic hotels to outdoor adventures. This digital guidebook empowered travelers to discover authentic experiences, support local economies, and explore the region sustainably. The second map showcased 113 historical and cultural gems, including living history reenactments, traditional crafts, and delectable local cuisine. These interactive platforms not only connected visitors with unique attractions but also facilitated collaboration among local stakeholders.
By embracing digital technology, the project promoted sustainable tourism practices. The interactive maps provided a dynamic platform to showcase the region's offerings, ensuring that tourism information remained up-to-date and accessible. This approach not only enhanced the visitor experience but also protected the environment and supported local communities.
Led by the Polish Association of Communes 'Polish Gothic Castles', in collaboration with the Czech Destination Agency of the Central Bohemian Uplands, the Hungarian Association of Municipalities in the Upper Tisza Area, and Slovak Historic Hotels, this project exemplifies cross-border cooperation. Together, these partners have created a digital legacy that will continue to inspire travelers and strengthen the region's tourism industry for years to come.
