The protection of biocenoses – our future
This project carries a remarkable legacy – cooperation between vocational schools, which over the years has developed into a lively educational experience. Even the COVID-19 pandemic was unable to interrupt this valuable tradition for more than two years.
This year's edition brought together a mix of students from V4 countries and Austria and they gathered in Rakovice, Slovakia. Students explored important topics that connected their fields of study with pressing ecological issues, working side by side in international teams. They didn't just learn theory – they got their hands dirty with practical laboratory work and field exercises, turning knowledge into real skills.
The week culminated in a moving closing ceremony where students confidently presented their achievements in English and shared the rich cultural traditions of their home countries. As the director of the Secondary Vocational School of Regional Development and Secondary Vocational School of Horticulture enthusiastically shared: "The project significantly contributed to the development of students' language and presentation skills, intercultural understanding, and environmental awareness. The Fund's support played a key role in the successful realization of this project. It allowed us to provide a high level of organizational, technical, and educational infrastructure and create conditions for meaningful cooperation between young people from different countries. These aspects were essential for achieving the project's goals and left a lasting impression on all participants."
The journey continues and the Polish partner will host the next edition, carrying forward this meaningful tradition of international cooperation and environmental education.
